About the Pastors
After years of associating with negative influences in the streets of Orlando, Florida and watching many end up incarcerated or dead, Pastor Pierre Buie found himself at a crossroad with death on his trail.
One day after realizing that he would either end up in prison or the grave, Pastor Pierre Buie went into an upstairs room in his mothers house and cried out to God as he read the 51st Psalm. He then asked Jesus to come into his heart and forgive him of his sins. To his surprise he was later visited by his Elder Brother Dr. Pastor Vincent M. McIntyre of "The McIntyre Institute" (www.Mcintyreinstitute.com) who arrived in Orlando and took him to Miami, Florida to reside with him. He attended Church with his brother at "Rose of Sharon Ministries" under Pastor Dr. Elizabeth Hairston in Miami, Florida. Dr. McIntyre began to show Pastor Buie the error of his ways, and Pastor Buie eventually began working in the Street Ministry of Miami, Florida. He later met his current wife Terrosa in 1989 and married her in 1990 at Hurst Chapel A.M.E. Church in Orlando, Florida. Pastor Buie was also a Minister as Hurst Chapel under Pastor Gene Brown. Pastor Pierre Buie served on the Leadership Staff of many great ministries for over 10 years before founding Presence of God Ministries in Tallahassee, Florida. Pastor Pierre Buie served in the following organizations:
In 1996 the Buie's experienced first-hand the Miracle Working Power of God in Jesus Christ, when their five year old was pronouned dead on the "Lifeflight" chopper on the way to the Connecticut Childrens Medical Center. After literally taking the hands of the Surgeons along with the Leadership Staff of Christian Community Outreach Church of Hartford, CT., God raised their son back to life. He then rested in a three month coma to which The Lord brought him out of. Pastor Buie and Family moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 1998 after hearing the Lord say it was time to move and eventually plant a ministry. The ministry began in the clubhouse of an apartment complex in 1999 and later moved to a building, a house, and now its current location. Pastor Terrosa BuieI grew up in Miami, Florida in a home that went from non-Christian to Christian when my Father accepted his call into the ministry to preach and later to Pastor. I began my walk with the Lord at a very crucial time in my life when I made the choice to stand for something or fall for anything. I am forever grateful for the leadership of the Late Pastor Joshua Garvin, his wife Joann, and the New Life Baptist Church Family. It is under their ministry that I invited Jesus Christ into my heart and made Him my Lord and Savior. They were very instrumental in helping to build and establish my spiritual foundation.I met my husband (Pierre) while home on a summer break from college in 1989. We were married in 1990 and began our life together in Orlando, Florida. We are the parents of two very unique young men. In our time together we have traveled from Orlando, to Deland, to Connecticut and back to Florida. We have been blessed to be introduced to many great Men and Women of God who have imparted and planted seeds into our lives. These seeds have equipped us to become the Leaders that you see before you today. I would like to thank every one that has ever made and took time to birth something into my life. From the death of my mother while still in need of her care and guidance to watching my oldest son lye in a coma; God has proven himself to be real, true, and constant in my life. I learned to trust and depend on him for everything. Everyone’s journey in life takes them down different roads or highways which helped them develop character, find their purpose and become a person that God can use. Live- life to the fullest, Learn- something new everyday, Laugh- as often as you can, Love- freely and deeply and above all- STAY WITH GOD! |
